In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Sisters!
Alhamdulillah this is my first post and all thanks be to Allah swt for inspiring me to begin this blog and may He swt make it beneficial for all inshaAllah. Ameen!
As an introductory post, I thought that’s just what I’ll do – introduce! So, here goes!
I am a hijabi alhamdulillah and believe that to be a hijabi encompasses SO much including inner and outer aspects of the muslimah.
However, the focus of this blog is to post my thoughts, struggles and triumphs (inshaAllah!) on my journey to not adorn myself outside of the home around non-mahrams. I have recently begun this journey in which alhamdulillah I have stopped wearing make up outside of the home and wearing things that make me look attractive outside.
From my understanding of Quran and Sunnah this is part of what wearing a hijab entails as an outer act of submission to Allah swt, without even scratching the surface of what inner hijab is subhanAllah!
Although I may post occasionally about this, the main focus will be as I mentioned above inshaAllah!
I am in no way a scholar! Far, far, far from it! SubhanAllah!
The purpose of this blog is to support other sisters (and myself inshaAllah through your input) who are in the same boat who want to stop adorning themselves outside of the home around non-mahrams.
Because, this is not easy! Especially in a time where wearing makeup with hijab and wearing attractive clothing with hijab is becoming the norm. It is difficult to make that change, but alhamdulillah Allah swt has granted me tawfiq to do it mashaAllah, may He swt continue to aid me and all sisters with the same intention – ameen!
The intention behind everything should always be to please Allah swt because at the end of the day that is why we are here!
I will keep you updated inshaAllah with more articles, inspiring stories, etc in this blog.
May Allah swt accept our intentions, make them good and come to fruition and be well pleased with us – ameen!
Love you sisters for the sake of Allah swt!
